On June 5 and 6,2017 in FICE-Bulgaria a training was held on
“Case work during the individual work with children and youngsters”
The goal of the education was acquiring of basic knowledge and abilities on the implementation of the method “Case work during the individual work with children and youngsters„ with different vulnerability: placed in residential services for children and youngsters, users of supportive and/or mobile community based services,with illegal behaviour and violators, persons in touch with the legal system-victims and/or witnesses of crimes, with special educational needs and difficulties, with disabilities, migrants, seeking and received international protection,dropouts or children at risk of becoming dropouts.
The training presented the basic stages of the process: case assessment, prioritization,defining goals, work planning, plan implementation. An accent was made on child and family participation in the process and the networking-coordination and cooperation between the process participants.
The training also had a practical part and gave the opportunity for group work, role games, casework, discussions, practical replay of situations and plan meetings, making an assessment and individual work plan for the child, working with information and documenting the process.
Representatives from different social services for children and families at risk from the capital and the country took part in the training.
